How to Choose
When selecting a 12 inch laptop for students, consider the balance between portability and performance. A lightweight device with long battery life is critical for carrying around campus all day. Operating system preference—Windows, macOS, or Chrome OS—matters based on the software you need for classes. Also, assess the keyboard quality, display resolution, and whether a touchscreen or 2-in-1 functionality will enhance your workflow. Budget is another key factor: Chromebooks often offer great value for web-focused tasks, while Windows and macOS machines provide broader software compatibility but at a higher price point.
