How to Choose
When selecting a compact 12 inch laptop for travel, several factors should guide your decision. Portability is key; look for devices weighing under 3 pounds with slim profiles that fit easily into backpacks or carry-ons. Battery life is crucial for long flights or remote work—aim for at least 10 hours to avoid frequent charging. Performance depends on your usage: Intel Core i5/i7 or Apple M1 chips handle multitasking and productivity well, while ARM-based processors prioritize battery efficiency and LTE connectivity. Display quality matters if you watch videos or edit photos; OLED or high-resolution IPS panels offer richer colors and sharper images. Lastly, consider build quality and keyboard comfort, especially if you’ll be typing extensively on the road.
