Self-harm, also known as non-suicidal self-injury, is a complex and serious issue that affects many people, particularly adolescents and young adults. It can take many forms, including cutting, burning, and scratching, and is often used as a coping mechanism for emotional pain or stress. Self-harm is not a mental illness itself, but it is often associated with conditions such as depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder.
It is important to note that self-harm is not a healthy or effective way to cope with emotional pain or stress. There are many alternative strategies for managing difficult emotions, including therapy, medication, exercise, and mindfulness practices. If you or someone you know is engaging in self-harm, it is important to seek professional help as soon as possible.

While the show does not provide a detailed exploration of self-harm, it is an important topic that deserves attention and discussion.
