Beth Dutton is a popular fictional character from the television drama series Yellowstone, which first aired on the Paramount Network in 2018. Kelly Reilly plays the role of Beth Dutton, the sharp-tongued and ruthless businesswoman who is fiercely loyal to her family, but also deeply damaged by past traumas.
Despite the widespread appeal of the show, Beth Dutton’s age is never explicitly mentioned, and very few clues are available in the series to help determine her age accurately. Nevertheless, some contextual clues can be used to make an educated guess.
In the series, Beth Dutton is portrayed as a successful businesswoman who holds a high-level position in her family’s cattle ranching empire. This suggests that she is likely in her thirties or forties, as it would take some time to build up the experience and expertise necessary to hold such a position.
Moreover, there are references to Beth’s past that imply she is in her late thirties or early forties. For instance, it is revealed in season two that Beth was sexually assaulted as a teenager, an event that probably occurred 15 to 20 years before the events of the series.
Another factor to consider is Beth’s strained relationship with her father, John Dutton, suggesting that she is likely old enough to have established a sense of independence and experienced conflict with her parents, which typically happens during young adulthood.
It is also worth noting that Kelly Reilly, the actress who plays Beth Dutton, was born in July 1977, making her 44 years old as of March 2023. However, it is crucial to remember that actors may not always play characters who are the same age as they are in real life.
In conclusion, while the age of Beth Dutton is never explicitly stated in the series Yellowstone, there are several contextual clues that suggest she is likely in her thirties or forties. The fact that she holds a high-level position in her family’s cattle ranching empire, as well as her past traumas and strained relationship with her father, all suggest that she is likely a mature adult. Additionally, the age of the actress who portrays Beth Dutton, Kelly Reilly, may also provide some indication of the character’s age, although this is not necessarily definitive.
