Installation Process and Compatibility
One of the primary selling points of the Luxe W85 Bidet Attachment is its straightforward installation process, which typically takes less than 15 minutes and requires no special tools or plumbing skills. Here’s a general overview:
- Turn off the water supply to the toilet and flush to empty the tank.
- Disconnect the existing toilet seat from the toilet bowl.
- Attach the Luxe W85 bidet to the existing toilet mounting bolts, ensuring a secure fit.
- Connect the bidet’s T-valve to the water supply line, then attach the bidet’s inlet hose to the T-valve.
- Reinstall the toilet seat over the bidet attachment, making sure all components are tightly secured.
- Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks.
- Adjust the settings according to personal preference using the side control lever or remote.
This process is compatible with most standard toilets, including elongated and round bowls. However, users should verify dimensions and compatibility, especially if their toilet has an unusual shape or size. The Luxe W85’s universal design minimizes the need for additional adapters or modifications, making it accessible for most households.
Performance, Comfort, and User Experience
The Luxe W85 Bidet Attachment is generally well-regarded for its performance in delivering a clean, refreshing experience. Its adjustable spray pressure and nozzle positions allow users to fine-tune their comfort level, and the dual nozzles ensure hygienic separation between front and rear cleansing. Some key points include:
- Water Pressure and Temperature: The bidet offers multiple pressure settings, from gentle to vigorous, accommodating sensitive users and those seeking a more thorough cleanse. Some models include a heated water feature, which can be especially appreciated in colder climates, although the W85’s temperature control may be limited compared to higher-end models.
- Hygiene and Maintenance: Self-cleaning nozzles help maintain hygiene, reducing the need for manual cleaning. Regular maintenance involves wiping the bidet surface and occasional nozzle cleaning to prevent buildup.
- Comfort and Usability: The side control lever is intuitive, allowing users to select spray modes easily. For those with mobility issues, a remote control option might be preferable, but the W85’s manual controls are generally sufficient for most users.
Many users report that the bidet significantly improves personal hygiene and reduces reliance on toilet paper, especially for individuals with sensitive skin or mobility issues. However, some users may need to experiment with settings to find the most comfortable configuration, as preferences vary widely.
