What does a centipede bite look like?

A centipede bite can look different depending on the species of centipede and the individual who was bitten. However, in general, a centipede bite may cause a localized area of redness, swelling, and pain. The bite may also be accompanied by other symptoms such as itching, burning, and numbness.

Some species of centipedes have venomous bites that can cause more severe symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle weakness, and even anaphylactic shock in some cases. In these instances, medical attention should be sought immediately.

It is worth noting that centipede bites are relatively uncommon and usually occur when the centipede is provoked or feels threatened. If you suspect that you have been bitten by a centipede and are experiencing severe symptoms, it is important to seek medical attention right away.
