The Kardashian family is a prominent American family, known for their reality TV show, business ventures, and social media presence. The family is of mixed ethnicity and cultural backgrounds, with a diverse heritage that reflects the melting pot of American society.
The Kardashians are of Armenian descent on their father’s side, with their ancestors hailing from what is now modern-day Armenia. Robert Kardashian, the father of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian, was a third-generation Armenian-American. He was born in Los Angeles to parents who immigrated to the United States from Armenia.
On their mother’s side, the Kardashians have a mix of Scottish, Irish, and Dutch ancestry. Kris Jenner, the mother of the Kardashian siblings, was born Kristen Mary Houghton in San Diego, California. Her father, Robert Houghton, was of English, Scottish, and Irish ancestry, while her mother, Mary Jo Shannon, had Dutch and Irish ancestry.
In addition to their Armenian heritage, the Kardashian family has also embraced other aspects of their cultural identity, including their Christian faith. They are members of the Armenian Apostolic Church, which is the national church of Armenia and one of the oldest Christian churches in the world.
It is worth noting that the Kardashians have been open about their mixed heritage and the importance of embracing their cultural identity. They have used their platform to raise awareness about Armenian history and culture, including the Armenian Genocide, a tragic event that claimed the lives of over one million Armenians in the early 20th century.
In conclusion, the Kardashian family is of mixed ethnicity and cultural backgrounds, with a diverse heritage that reflects the multicultural fabric of American society. While they are of Armenian descent on their father’s side, they also have Scottish, Irish, and Dutch ancestry on their mother’s side. The family has embraced their cultural identity and used their platform to raise awareness about Armenian history and culture.
