The concept of “outside of space” is difficult to grasp, as our understanding of space is largely based on our observations of the physical world around us. Space is commonly defined as the three-dimensional extent in which objects and events occur and have relative position and direction, and is often associated with the universe and the celestial bodies within it.
According to current scientific theories, space is not infinite, but rather has a finite size and shape. The most widely accepted theory about the shape of the universe is that it is flat, meaning that it extends infinitely in all directions and has no boundaries. However, this flat universe is still considered to exist within the context of space itself, and the concept of “outside of space” is not applicable within this framework.
Beyond the confines of our observable universe lies what is known as the cosmic horizon, the point beyond which we cannot see due to the limited speed of light and the expansion of the universe. However, this horizon is still within the bounds of space, and the question of what lies beyond it remains largely unanswered.
Theories about what might exist beyond the cosmic horizon vary widely, and range from the possibility of multiple universes or a multiverse, to the idea of a vacuum state or “nothingness.” Some theories suggest that space and time themselves may be the result of a larger framework, such as a higher-dimensional space or a quantum field. Others suggest that our understanding of space and its boundaries may be fundamentally limited by the nature of our human perception and the limits of our scientific tools.
Despite ongoing scientific research and exploration, the question of what lies beyond space remains one of the great mysteries of the universe. While we may never have a complete understanding of the nature of the universe and its boundaries, the quest to explore and discover the mysteries of the cosmos continues to be a driving force for scientific inquiry and discovery.
