“The Originals” is a television series that aired on The CW network from 2013 to 2018. The show is a spin-off of another popular CW series, “The Vampire Diaries,” and follows the story of the Mikaelson family, a group of original vampires who return to their home in New Orleans after centuries of living in exile. The show was a hit with audiences and gained a significant following during its five-season run.
In terms of streaming, “The Originals” has been available on Netflix since 2014. However, the show was removed from the streaming service in 2020, much to the disappointment of fans. The reason for the removal was not officially announced, but it is likely due to the expiration of the licensing agreement between The CW and Netflix. The CW has been moving toward its own streaming platform, called The CW Seed, which may have played a role in the decision to remove the show from Netflix.
While “The Originals” is no longer available on Netflix, it can still be streamed through other platforms. The show is available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, and iTunes, where fans can buy individual episodes or entire seasons. The show can also be streamed through The CW Seed, which is a free streaming service that offers a selection of CW shows, including “The Originals.”
In addition to streaming options, fans of “The Originals” can also watch the show on DVD or Blu-ray. The complete series is available for purchase on both formats, and can be found at most major retailers and online stores.
It is worth noting that while “The Originals” is no longer available on Netflix, the show’s popularity on the platform has had a lasting impact. The show was consistently one of the most-watched programs on Netflix during its time on the streaming service, and helped to popularize the vampire and supernatural genres on television. The success of “The Originals” has also inspired a number of other spin-off shows and movies, including the recently released “Legacies,” which follows the story of a new generation of supernatural beings at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.
