Which of the Avengers are Dead?

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), several Avengers have died throughout the various films and storylines. Here is a list of the Avengers who are confirmed to be dead in the MCU:

1. Iron Man/Tony Stark: In the climactic battle against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man sacrifices himself by using the Infinity Stones to snap Thanos and his army out of existence, but ultimately succumbs to his injuries and dies.
2. Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff: In Avengers: Endgame, Black Widow sacrifices herself on the planet Vormir to obtain the Soul Stone, a key component in the Avengers’ plan to undo Thanos’ snap. She falls to her death after fighting with Hawkeye/Clint Barton to determine who will make the sacrifice.
3. Vision: In Avengers: Infinity War, Vision is killed by Thanos, who removes the Mind Stone from Vision’s forehead in order to complete his mission of acquiring all of the Infinity Stones.
4. Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff: In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Quicksilver is killed while protecting Hawkeye and a young child during the battle against Ultron’s army.
5. Loki: In Avengers: Infinity War, Loki is killed by Thanos in the opening scene of the film after attempting to thwart Thanos’ attempt to obtain the Tesseract.
6. Heimdall: In Avengers: Infinity War, Heimdall is killed by Thanos after using his powers to transport Hulk to Earth.
7. Yondu Udonta: While not a traditional Avenger, Yondu is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and plays a key role in their stories. He sacrifices himself in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to save Star-Lord/Peter Quill, and dies from injuries sustained during his heroic act.

It is important to note that while some characters have died in the MCU, there are also instances where characters have been presumed dead, but have later been revealed to be alive. For example, Nick Fury, who is a key figure in the Avengers initiative, was believed to be dead in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but was later revealed to be alive and well in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Overall, the MCU has seen several characters come and go, but the deaths of key Avengers like Iron Man and Black Widow have had a significant impact on the storyline and the future of the franchise. While it is always sad to see beloved characters leave the story, their deaths have allowed for new characters to emerge and for the MCU to continue to evolve and expand.
