As of the time of writing (April 2023), there has been no official announcement regarding who will be leaving Grey’s Anatomy for season 18. However, there have been rumors and speculation about the future of certain cast members on the show.
One of the most prominent rumors is that Ellen Pompeo, who plays the lead character Dr. Meredith Grey, may be leaving the show after season 18. Pompeo has been with the show since its inception in 2005, and her departure would mark the end of an era for the long-running medical drama.
Another cast member whose future on the show is uncertain is Jesse Williams, who plays Dr. Jackson Avery. Williams has been with the show since 2009 and has become a fan favorite over the years. However, there have been rumors that he may be leaving the show after season 18 to pursue other opportunities.
Other cast members whose future on the show is uncertain include Kevin McKidd (Dr. Owen Hunt), Chandra Wilson (Dr. Miranda Bailey), and James Pickens Jr. (Dr. Richard Webber). However, none of these cast members have made any official statements regarding their future on the show.
It is worth noting that Grey’s Anatomy has a history of saying goodbye to long-standing cast members. Over the years, several beloved characters have left the show, including Sandra Oh (Dr. Cristina Yang), Patrick Dempsey (Dr. Derek Shepherd), and Katherine Heigl (Dr. Isobel “Izzie” Stevens).
In conclusion, while there have been rumors and speculation about who may be leaving Grey’s Anatomy for season 18, there has been no official announcement from the show or its cast members. However, given the show’s history of saying goodbye to long-standing characters, it is possible that we may see some major departures in the upcoming season.
