At the end of the Marvel movie “Eternals,” there is a mid-credit scene that features a man named Dane Whitman. Dane is played by actor Kit Harington and is the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the scene, Dane receives a mysterious package that contains a sword. He hesitates before picking it up, but a voice off-screen encourages him to take it. The voice is that of Mahershala Ali, who is playing the character of Blade in an upcoming Marvel project.
Dane Whitman is a character from the comics who is better known as the Black Knight. He is a skilled swordsman who has been a member of various superhero teams, including the Avengers. In the comics, the Black Knight’s powers come from his enchanted sword, which has a long and complicated history.
It’s unclear at this point what role Dane will play in future Marvel projects, but given the presence of Blade in the mid-credit scene, it’s possible that he could be involved in the upcoming Blade movie or another supernatural-themed project.
It’s also worth noting that Dane has a romantic connection to one of the Eternals, Sersi, who is played by Gemma Chan in the movie. In the comics, Sersi and Dane have a complicated relationship that spans thousands of years. It’s unclear if this aspect of their relationship will be explored in future Marvel projects, but it’s certainly a possibility.
In any case, the inclusion of Dane Whitman in the mid-credit scene suggests that he will be an important player in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans will have to wait and see what role he will play and how his story will unfold in upcoming movies and TV shows.
