Daryl Dixon is a character from the popular TV show “The Walking Dead,” played by actor Norman Reedus. Before the apocalypse, Daryl was a drifter and a hunter who lived with his abusive and alcoholic father, Will Dixon, and his younger brother, Merle Dixon.
Daryl grew up in rural Georgia and had a difficult childhood. His father was a violent and cruel man who physically abused both Daryl and Merle. As a result, Daryl learned how to fend for himself and became a skilled hunter, tracker, and survivalist. He spent much of his adult life traveling around the country, taking odd jobs and living off the land.
When the zombie apocalypse broke out, Daryl was camping in the woods and was unaware of the chaos unfolding in the outside world. He eventually encountered a group of survivors led by Rick Grimes and joined forces with them. Daryl quickly became a valuable member of the group, using his survival skills to help them navigate the dangerous new world.
Throughout the course of the show, viewers learn more about Daryl’s past and his relationships with his family. In Season 3, it is revealed that Daryl was estranged from his brother Merle, who had been left behind in Atlanta when Daryl joined Rick’s group. Daryl is devastated when he learns that Merle has turned into a zombie and is forced to kill him.
Despite his troubled past, Daryl is a loyal and dependable member of Rick’s group. He becomes particularly close with Carol Peletier, another survivor, and the two develop a deep bond over their shared experiences and struggles.
Overall, Daryl Dixon’s backstory is one of survival and perseverance in the face of adversity. Despite growing up in a violent and abusive household, Daryl learned to rely on his own skills and instincts to survive. When the world as he knew it was destroyed by the zombie apocalypse, Daryl’s skills and resilience made him a valuable member of a new community of survivors.
