Who was zeus father

In Greek mythology, Zeus is the king of the gods and one of the twelve Olympians. His father was Cronus, who was also a titan and the ruler of the universe before Zeus. However, Cronus feared that one of his children would eventually overthrow him, so he swallowed all of his children, except for Zeus, who was saved by his mother, Rhea.

Rhea tricked Cronus by hiding Zeus in a cave on the island of Crete, and giving him a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes to swallow instead of the baby. Zeus was then raised by a goat named Amalthea and later by a nymph named Adamanthea. Once he had grown to adulthood, Zeus led a rebellion against his father Cronus and the other titans, eventually defeating them and becoming the ruler of the gods.

Zeus is often depicted as a powerful and imposing figure, with lightning bolts in his hand and an eagle by his side. He was worshipped throughout ancient Greece, and was associated with many aspects of life, including the weather, fertility, law and order, and hospitality. He was also known for his many love affairs, both with other gods and with mortal women, and he fathered many children, including Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, and Dionysus.

In summary, Zeus was the king of the gods in Greek mythology and the son of Cronus, a titan who ruled the universe before him. Zeus was saved from being swallowed by his father, and grew up to lead a rebellion against the titans, eventually becoming the ruler of the gods. He was worshipped throughout ancient Greece and associated with many aspects of life, and was known for his many love affairs and numerous children.
