If your Vizio TV is talking to you, it may be because of a feature called Audio Guidance. This feature is designed to help visually impaired users navigate the TV menus and settings by providing spoken feedback.
If you didn’t intentionally turn on Audio Guidance and are unsure why it’s activated, there are a few potential reasons:
Accidental activation: Audio Guidance can be turned on accidentally by pressing certain buttons on the remote. To turn it off, press and hold the down arrow button on the remote for a few seconds.
Accessibility settings: If you or someone else using the TV has turned on accessibility settings, Audio Guidance may be included. Check the TV settings to see if any accessibility features are activated.
Firmware update: In some cases, a firmware update may activate Audio Guidance or change the way it works. Check for firmware updates in the Vizio settings menu and update to the latest version.
Malfunction: If Audio Guidance is persistently on and won’t turn off, there may be a malfunction with the TV. In this case, a factory reset may be necessary to restore normal functionality.
