Nelle Benson is a beloved character on the popular daytime soap opera General Hospital (GH). Played by actress Chloe Lanier, she last appeared on the show in 2019. At the end of her storyline, Nelle fell from the cliffs of Spoon Island and died, leaving fans wondering whether she might make a return in 2023.
While it is impossible to say for certain whether Nelle will return to GH in 2023, there are several factors to consider that could provide some insights into the likelihood of such a return. For instance, GH has a reputation for bringing back characters from the dead, and while this would be an unexpected twist, it is unlikely that Nelle will return from the dead. The showrunners have not hinted or announced any plans to bring Nelle back to the show, and her character’s death was not explicitly shown on screen, leaving some room for interpretation.
However, in the entertainment industry, it is not uncommon for actors or actresses to reprise their roles after a long break or exit. It is possible that Nelle could return in a limited capacity, perhaps for a guest appearance, to tie up loose ends in her storyline or to bring closure to her character’s arc. Moreover, GH has a reputation for introducing new characters with surprising connections to existing characters, and it is possible that Nelle could return as a previously unknown sibling, relative, or lookalike.
One important factor to consider in any potential return of Nelle is the availability and willingness of the actress, Chloe Lanier. Thus far, she has not expressed any interest in returning to GH, but this could change in the future, and she may be open to reprising her role if the opportunity arises. If Lanier does agree to return, it would likely be with an understanding of the limited nature of her appearance, as actors and actresses often have other commitments and may not be able to commit to a long-term return.
It is important to remember that the world of soap operas is known for its unexpected twists and turns, and GH has a reputation for bringing back characters in surprising ways. Therefore, while it is unlikely that Nelle will return from the dead, it is possible that she could make an appearance in a limited capacity, with an unexpected twist, or with a connection to an existing character.
In conclusion, it is impossible to say for certain whether Nelle will return to GH in 2023, but there are several possibilities and factors to consider. While it is unlikely that she will return from the dead, it is possible that she could make a limited appearance, with an unexpected twist or connection to existing characters. Moreover, the availability and willingness of the actress, Chloe Lanier, will play an important role in any potential return. Ultimately, only time will tell whether Nelle will make a comeback on GH in 2023.
