The LG UltraGear 24GN650-B is a 24-inch gaming monitor that boasts impressive features, including a fast refresh rate, low input lag, and a high resolution. In this article, we will discuss the specifications, performance, and overall user experience of this monitor.
Specifications: The LG UltraGear 24GN650-B is a 24-inch monitor that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, also known as Full HD. This resolution is perfect for gamers who want a high-quality display without the high cost of a higher resolution monitor. The monitor also has a 144Hz refresh rate, which is significantly higher than the standard 60Hz found on most monitors. This high refresh rate provides smoother and more fluid gameplay, allowing gamers to react quicker and see more detail. Additionally, the monitor has a 1ms response time, which means that there is minimal lag between input and display, making it an ideal choice for competitive gaming.
The LG UltraGear 24GN650-B has a TN panel, which means that it has fast response times and a high refresh rate, but it may not have the same color accuracy and viewing angles as IPS panels. However, LG has implemented a feature called “Dynamic Action Sync,” which minimizes input lag by synchronizing the input signal with the display’s refresh rate. The monitor also has a black stabilizer feature, which enhances visibility in darker areas of the game.
Performance: The LG UltraGear 24GN650-B delivers impressive performance, especially for its price range. The 144Hz refresh rate, combined with the 1ms response time, provides a smooth and responsive gaming experience. The monitor’s TN panel delivers excellent motion handling, with minimal blur or ghosting. The monitor also has a low input lag, which means that there is minimal delay between a player’s input and the corresponding action on the screen.
The monitor’s black stabilizer feature enhances the visibility in darker areas of the game, making it easier to spot enemies lurking in the shadows. However, the monitor’s TN panel may not have the same color accuracy and viewing angles as IPS panels, which may be a downside for gamers who prioritize color accuracy and viewing angles.
User Experience: The LG UltraGear 24GN650-B has a sleek and modern design, with a thin bezel and a minimalist stand. The monitor is also VESA mount compatible, which means that it can be mounted on a wall or arm for a more ergonomic setup. The monitor also has a variety of connectivity options, including HDMI and DisplayPort.
One potential downside to the LG UltraGear 24GN650-B is that it does not have built-in speakers. However, most gamers prefer to use a headset for in-game audio, so this may not be a significant issue. The monitor also lacks USB ports, which may be a downside for gamers who need to charge their devices or connect peripherals.
Overall, the LG UltraGear 24GN650-B is an excellent gaming monitor for its price range. Its fast refresh rate, low input lag, and high resolution make it an ideal choice for competitive gaming, and its black stabilizer feature enhances visibility in darker areas of the game. While the TN panel may not have the same color accuracy and viewing angles as IPS panels, the monitor’s fast response time and high refresh rate more than make up for it. Additionally, the monitor’s sleek design and variety of connectivity options make it a great addition to any gaming setup.
